Higbee Family:
On behalf of the faculty and students at Copper Hills High School, I send condolences to your family. Many teachers recall Mark's successes as a student and as a human being. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mark...the giver of the best hugs I have ever received. The best as cheering everyone up with his hand gestures, unique sense of humor, and his, "whatever, whatever, whatevers." A true friend; trustworthy, genuine, and concerned. Mark, I love you, and look forward to seeing you again one day. To the Higbee family, thanks for sharing such a dear friend with me and my family. You are in our prayers.

May your hearts be filled with peace. Mark is not far away. Perhaps as an angel watching over those he loves...
God be with you.

Annette, Dave and family,
Karen and I extend our deepest sympathy to you as you mourn the loss of your beautiful and talented son. The hymn, "Not Now But in the Coming Years", expresses our thoughts: "Then trust in God through all thy days; Fear not, for He doth hold thy hand; Though dark the way, still sing and praise; Somtime, sometime we'll understand."
We pray that you will find peace in the knowledge that the Lord, Jesus Christ, will see assist you through this dark and painful trial and that His Spirit will give you comfort as you turn to Him.
Our love and prayers,
Carl and Karen Hatch

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Higbee family. Mark was such an example to me and my family over the years. His giving compassion and selflessness had such an impact on all those who knew him. I will always remember many fun memories of him and the time I shared with him and the Higbee family. I feel honored to have known him.

Mark, there is no way to adequately express how much you were loved, and how much you will be missed. Your laughter, love, charisma, and caring can never be replaced. Thank you so much for your true friendship, and for the enormous impact you had on our lives. We owe so much of what we have to your compassion, and Christ-like example. We trust that God will give you the peace that you so dearly deserved, and that you are now in His loving care. Know that you were loved Mark, and that you will never be forgotten.

I will never forget Mark. I knew him since we were in middle school. I remember he and I became friends immediately. Be both shared a love for the music of U2. I've never laughed so hard in my life as I did when I was with Mark. I looked up to him for many reasons. He was so intelligent, so funny, and very spiritual. I am honored that I was able to know Mark. He truly was an amazing person.

Sincerely,
